Hello! I’m Jordan
I’m an artist, educator, and natural science illustrator creating highly detailed drawings of birds and other wildlife using colored pencils.
I grew up in the wooded mountains of Western North Carolina where I heard the calls of Cardinals, Chickadees, Wrens, and Sparrows, not knowing that one day those feathered friends would become such a big part of my life.
The imagery I create reveals my fondness of fine detail, love of color, devotion to accuracy, and tendency to spend a lot of time doing research on my subjects. Through the use of colored pencils, I strive to achieve a high level of accuracy, while still allowing for saturated color, dramatic lighting, and a full range of values.
